Ok! Interview went well, I think. Interviewer is also guy who hires. They sat me down for 25 minutes with working-guy to show me bits of the job, programs and spreadsheets, explain the pieces and how, generally, it flows.

Then Interviewer interviewed. Some traditional questions, some not. I answered all well, I think. I said I'd be the black crayon, out of all others, because it provides structure and order in the picture, a framework, a support. And, it's slimming. (Seriously, I did. He laughed.)

"Teach me something I don't know in the next five minutes..... tell me one time you failed, and what you learned.... what three promises, if I hired you, would you want me to make to you...." and so on.

We laughed, agreed, clarified, questioned.

He couldn't promise but was willing to say he strongly thinks I'll at -least- be called back for the skills test. He suggested (strongly) that I brush up on Excel (I will). If nothing else, I learned a LOT more about how security scheduling is done!

OTOH, after 11 by the time I got home so... might see you a LOT later. Tonight is hard-to-play-OR-PBEM-Golf-Ball.

well, B fell today, first time in a while, she caught herself on a small table. But was stuck. She thanked me for help...now, this after a week of her seeming to snark about my usefuless. She thanked me, and my response was "Sure, it's why I'm here."

I hope she got the message.
