They're all planning on driving the RV overnight back up. There's a significant lack of A/C for mom, which is going to be an issue even more than it was on the way down.

Political. I had one friend who registered republican today just to keep the candidate she despised from getting a nom 🙂

It might! So far, results for Diane Black are that she's not getting the nom...but final results are not in.

I'm not sure. Tennessee is weird in that you can pick which ever primary you want, but you must pick and stick for that year.

Yup. Some hate it because it means 'the other party' can intrude but honestly it does seem to show who might have a better chance in the main election anyway. I mean, if there's a sudden jump in one party primary while the other dips, it's a good sign some candidate is either really popular already, or is really really hated. And it would be smart for the two parties to pay attention

I am trying to research candidates in the local election I'm allowed to vote in as an independent coming up in August. It is not as easy as it sounds.

Of course, sometimes it feels we voters, as a group, aren't that bright either
