Ok, so some time back the Things decided it would be fun to ride on the very wonderful Dyson vacumn cleaner we had. Past tense, because the ride snapped clean through some of the important plastic support bits.

It was a while before we discovered it (because duh, they didn't tell us). And a while longer before we got a replacement.

Well, it was a $400 vacumn. Ok. I'll knock $100 off because it was used. They owe $300. I have a plan to help them pay it back. They spent most of the day working for me. Weeded the front garden beds first thing, scrubbed out the sliding glass door track, dishes and laundry. I have a list of things....

One of the regular chores they will do it clean my bathroom, top to bottom, every week. I could get used to this. They have $300 to work off.....
