Trump put Tarrif's on Canada in the name of National Security. It boggled me then, it boggles me now. Canada... I don't think Canada's been a threat to America since we almost went to war over a pig.

Yup. A war almost broke out between Canada and the US over a pig dispute. Fortunately, both sides went "This is nuts" and got a third party to settle the dispute.

History is weird

US and Canada were co-sharing this island off the coast of vancouver and said pig was either stolen or "defected" to the other side depending on who you ask

Dominions are weird. Britain originally wanted to make Canada a Kingdom but the US ambassador was like "We're not gonna be cool with a king on our doorstep" so they were basically their own federalist gov but still had British appointed officals. Eventually they asked UK really nicely if they could become their own country and that's Canada Day

Wow..,I really had never heard of that.

Yeah, America was the unruly rebellious older brother. Australia was the wild and adventurous youngest kid, and Canada was the GOOD middle child who felt overlooked but chastised the older brother for going all James Dean and being a jerk to mom. "You could call you know?"
