It may just be my perceptions, but it seems as though ER might be focusing really hard on the Ravaging part of Norm's story? From my understanding of glamour gathering systems, Ravaging is actually very common, pretty much all unseelie do it, and though it's 'frowned upon' by Seelie there's actually no rules against it or anything in the Escheat about it - Rhapsody being the strictly forbidden one.

Just trying to wrap my brain around what's going on here, esp. now as I have an unseelie character of my own in play.

Liam influence

Liam is even more seelie than Gwydion, and primarily focused on protecting mortals

Their argument is that Ravaging is a violation of the Right to Dream - since repeated ravaging can, indeed, totally burn out a dream in a manner similar to Rhapsody

Zara is (usually) seelie, but she ravages from time to time. Deryn? I think the thick-headed noble would willingly forget before she did so.

Dagmar hasn't done one or the other yet. She's still shiny and new.

August would absolutely sacrifice himself it it meant protecting a mortal/avoiding Ravaging.

That seems extreme, when ravaging is as common as the books/errata make it out to be. Rhapsody, definitely, but ravaging seems to be a known evil that happens a lot.

The devil's advocate in me would argue that it doesn't really hurt them that much, in moderation, and that it's probably common, if not boasted about openly as you prance through Seelie courts. Especially when it seems to be only by interpretation that it would be considered against the Escheat, and arguable.
