I played one once. SH RPG. I liked it but I don't think I had -quite- the right vibe for it.

I've played a lot of Champions. Some V&V but that was in ancient times. As wwas FASERIP

I was aiming for an anti-hero type of thing. I think it was Champions. It kind of... sputtered.

My PC could teleport, I think it was.... and a fight broke out and being uninvested in the group's goal, she teleported outside the building.

And the big-bad who was carrying the McGuffin jumped out a window next to my PC.

So my PC pulled her gun and shot him at pretty point-blank range, and took the McGuffin.

The GM just sat there staring at me and the dice which, dramatically, had cooperated.

There goes the rest of his story. Big-Bad is dead.

Well, yes, some folks do it in the style of a Code Vs Killing and that would make them cry a little G then there's just the dice loving you

Oh , it's happened to me plenty. I have a big bad in Champs I'm afraid to use against one player. She crits every damn time againt him.

I've also had players who skipped breadcrumbs and went right to the big reveal

which is better than them skipping bread crumbs and going off into redherrings I didn't even bring in 🙂

It's why I try not to let the same villains escape TOO often after the PCs get them despite that being a trope.
