The hole apparently led to our furnace closet that has one of those wooded slat doors, and a tiny black foot was peeping out between the slats

It was fine, and we called someone out to take him away - he showed up with a cup (literally, like a dunkin donuts cup) to scoop it into thinking it was a little brown bat, but it was a BIGGER bat
