Oh, I'll admit, I (and Brekke) was hoping that it was ALL like the current Lodge, but you're a far better storyteller than that, and the disappointing darkness then the glimmer of light is perfect...and makes far more sense.

thank ye. In some ways, Torth maybe like his brother, but I'm also trying to contrast him with Harvald DeBuke, a storm who fell because he could not recognize his narrowmindedness. Torth DOES Recognize it. That may yet save him, but it may not be enough. But he's raised a small section of trolls to be better than he is. Which is all any older generation demands of the one after it 😉
