More dangerous to rafters than kayakers - if a raft hits "Pinball rock" it is very, very likely to shoot straight into Dimple and flip. And Dimple eats people.

my first trip, I got thrown from the raft while trying to dislodge from a rock. A friendly kayaker rescued me and towed me back to my group.

When tubing, I kept getting thrown from the tube, and the watercourse was fast and shallow, so I was clinging onto the tube for dear life, but getting dragged along the rocky bed, unable to get my feet under me long enough to get back in the tube. I was covered in bruises.

Oh, man. Yeah.

I got a fair number of bruises, but wasn't dragged like that.

But going IN the water was really scary.

There was one point that was a waterfall -- not a huge one, maybe 12 feet. Nobody told me about the waterfall. And my group had told me that it was an "easy" course and, no, of course you won't need a helmet! And my tube turned around right at the edge of the fall so I went over it backwards -- so much terror.

Yup.

Okay....I've got to vanish. Have a gather today, won't be on much until midday tomorrow, probably.
