Different topic -- my niece writes the following: "There's a lovely cafe on Davenport called Crosscut Coffee, and one of the perks of writing there is that you get to choose your own cup from a wide selection on the shelf. It's an absurd, tiny thing, but I find it delightful. Today an older, grizzled gentleman came in shortly before I left. He squeaked with delight when the barista told him he could pick, then after careful deliberation chose a beautiful, ornate, delicate floral teacup and saucer set for his coffee and it was adorable and I felt a little less silly for enjoying this aspect of this cafe so much."
