Lois was great in that series. The voice acting and writing was just the right mix of pain in the ass and woman you could admire and she was fierce

I loved when Clark and Lana talk and Lana tells him him he deserves "someone quiet, understanding, patient..." And Lois pops out "Hey Smallville, get your tail in here, Perry's got an assignment for us!"

But then I've always been of the opinion that Clark is partially smitten with Lois because she's like noone he's seen before. She's fire, she's in a hurry and yet implacable and he gets a joy just watching her go. Meanwhile, his idealism in either guise just confuses her because she thought she was jaded and yet...bam, around him, she actually wants to believe good folks outnumber the bad and truth and justice and so on isn't so cheesy.
