I'm out of shape now so I'm not so resistant myself

but that ties into medical issues, and is a huge part of why I've never considered living in the south

I've about decided I'd rather live in the North than some parts of the Southwest. I am not an outdoor type, but I need GREEN. Brown, tan and barren are just not stuff I can live with year around

Oh, I liked the main part... Mackinaw was nice

I worked a summer in traverse city, near there

But once I got to the upper peninsula there was this area miles and miles of ..well...flat, ugly, monotonous with look alike reed trees

Didn't help that the road construction meant there was a smell of tar on top of things. Honestly, it looked like a level of hell or Mordor minus the magic
