I liked a lot about it, but they really screwed up two things with Luke that , frankly, diminished my enjoyment a LOT. Took it from an 7.5 out of 10 to a 6.5

Since the rest of you have seen it and I'm not spoiling.. no way would Mister "I can see the good in you" insight guy (I mean, that's his THING) have a lit lightsaber over his own nephew like that ready to kill. It's one thing to have a character flaw, it's another to ignore a cornerstone of a character

And.... I was very bummed that apparently Luke quit TWICE. I can understand him going full hermit for a timee. But suicide by the Force? They maybe able to salvage that in the next movie, but it just seemed like he was "Okay, I screwed up but rather than continue to help... I quit." Foop

So I can see why a lot of Luke fans were upset. I was too. That, and the lack of anyone wiith tactical brain power was a minus. BUT there were so many good things too so...
