Went shopping. On way to it with friend, large dog ran in front of her van. There was nothing she could do as she tried to stop, hit it. dog died.

We held up traffic so it wouldn't get run over while it passed, two folks helped us. Good people. Poor animal just stopped breathing after a time while they got him off the road. At least his corpse won't get run over. No tags, no collar.

Knocked on the nearest door nearby. No one home.

I don't think it was their dog. Anyway, my friend is a soft touch for animals, and to be honest so am I.

The two folks who were behind us and helped assured her that they saw him just bolt out in front of her and No one could have stopped in time. I'm very grateful to them for that.
