I'm savoring the start of five days off. 🙂

Not bad. Got the T-day shopping done today. Back to work tomorrow.

We're going to be doing T-day with friends, so I don't have to fuss with much. Probably going to do a bunch of roasted bacon-wrapped dates to bring along.

I bought our pies this year, and we have a box dressing, but the veggies are going to be mostly fresh. I'm ok with it.

I bought a pecan pie from one of the club fundraisers at school...but it might not make it to Thursday. 🙂

I sometimes wonder if Pumpkin is an American taste? though truth to tell I don't much like it myself

I think we tend to like the cream flavor/texture more than the pumpkin itself. Though I've gotten very fond of all sorts of roasted squashes.

I am fairly -certain- he didn't grow up with it, which probably has a lot to do with it.

I may try minced meat pie for Yule this year. It was a favorite of my Dad's, but when I was a kid I never tried anything where I couldn't recognize the ingredients.

*chuckle* I've made that before. Maybe for Christmas this year, assuming I can get my stuff in one sock by then.
