Took a basic recipe and added toasted spices; cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, nutmeg.

Toasted and ground them myself.

Mmmm.... you set the scene. It's the end of the night, so wherever they are going to end up.

I'm not the biggest banana bread fan, but mmm cinnamon touches

Also added flax seed, wheat germ, and walnuts -in- the bread, and all that plus chia seed on the top to bake in.

So it's really pretty healthy! Lots of extras.

Chia and flax seeds are so tiny, they are largely negligible.

Chia = poppy seed size or smaller.

Flax are larger, but still small, and v. flat.

I don't like poppy seeds, either. texture.

I like traditional banana bread because it is soft and a bit gooey

dry banana bread is gross. I am okay with walnuts, because they soften up when baked
