As she says the words… she feels it. A sense of purpose bestowed by the Oath. A … formality, but
a structure as well. Definitions. A welcome burden; Noblesse Oblige. The weight on her
shoulders is welcome; it matches what the Unicorn gave her. She carries Banality well. It’s an
honor, one bestowed by her House. By her Oath. By her Choice, HER Choice.
There is a shifting of something, something exterior, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is,
with this Oath, she has -chosen- her value, her dignity, her worth. It is the burden of
responsibility, of commitment, of owning something and being owned by it, and it is a welcome
slavery and slavekeeping. It feels -Right.- She knows, now, that whatever else happens she
cannot be ashamed of what she is, who she is, or her House. Oathbroken, perhaps, but not an
Oathbreaker. Dishonored, perhaps, but not without Honor. Outcast… but Home. She will never
again be able to set those truths aside.
