Actually what I hear mostly about that area is winters, but that maybe more Northern Ohio. I understand the great lakes can cool stuff down.

And yes, WINTER.

We don't have hurricanes here in East TN. Just...flooding tornadoes, wildfires...people who can't drive when we do get snow, and summers that aren't as bad as the deep south yet still make you feel like your bones are turning to soup

They will speed right up your tailpipe, stay there, swerve 3 lanes over to get around you, zoom back RIGHT short in front of you, pump the breaks to indicate how mad they are that you're doing the speed limit (which makes you brake hard to avoid hitting them) and then tear off again.

OTOH, I drive like a granny here in my 2000 Toyota Corolla.
