both are possible dross and lingering with glamour, BUT this is what was sensed 'to the left' ... there is another glamour source from the previous 'straight ahead' (Though now it would be another left as you leave I guess G)

He has possibly doodled a cartoon once that she might find. It shows him in cartoon fashion lusting for her skinny bony frame... as she demurely turns away as if unsure in one panel. In the second panel she finds a magic mirror. She touches it in the third and becomes a voluptious curved figure! Panel 4 has her approach Earl with va va voom. Panel 5 has him wide eyed and horrofied. Panel 6 has him trying not to gag in disgust.

His tongue in cheek way of saying he LIKES the way she looks now.

But he's afraid to show it to her in case she misunderstands. Also, it's a flipping sketch cartoon and even he has his snobby side for art

Credit where credit is due... I just stumbled onto this by accident but while I'm not crazy about the face, the scene and story told in one piece of art just wowed me.

Wow.

Yeah, the face is a bit too anime for my tastes, but the line, shape, color/shades....Wow.
