A tailor coat has a lot of structure built in - the shoulders and lapels keep their shape even without a body in them. It takes a lot of work to "build" that structure in.

Make it a treasure that can do either chimerical or mortal damage (so you don't have to kill mortal bodies) but anytime it gets more than five sux to hit... it cuts the clothing off people!
