I've finally seen Wonder Woman

So what did you think?

hi. TT went slow (took all day for Preludes) but once we got going the players enjoyed. Our stars included a Boggan who hoped to become a master chief, a satyress singer of alternative music, a Piskey transporter (Like Statham but with no real brawl skills) and a Redcap guy raised over a bet like Trading Places then kicked to the curb by two Sidhe women who were curious if it could be done

Good Preludes take time, hon.

I pooled their mentor resource into one old rock and roll satyress grump (The satyr's grandma) who helped almost all of them at one time. Added to that and them actually saving the redcap from being attacked by a corby once his sidhe 'protection' was gone, and they slipped into motleyhood pretty fast. Another bit in the storyline was commoner hold's balefire fading during their preludes.... Austin commoners were in a panic but nobles are like "see, they just let one die. No the next hold should not go to them."

Well, obviously.

the commoners parliament is making a firm plea to the opposite. And then it gets complicated. 😉 And the story really begins.

About a year after they've all become friends... theyre at a Karoke bar when a sluagh walks up, young sluagh, nervous, and inquires "I have lost the silver key, do you have the golden lock?" And they tell him he's got the wrong table but get curious. One of them makes a great roll on stealth and follows and they spy on him going out to an alley meeting an older sluagh, who exchanges notes with him vague...but basically a meeting in 3 nights to be ready. Naturally the Motley , at least enough o them decide to be there to.

Oh, yes. And then?

The next night... younger sluagh found beheaded... older sluagh being attacked by Ogre. PCs try to save the older sluagh mostly by distracting and then retreat... (Except for the redcap they aren't fighters)... but they get seperated when the piskey pulls the Sluagh and his treasure through a wall via portal passage. Boggan saves satyr by setting goblin's gunpowder on fire. The older sluagh with the piskey bleeds out but not before handing the bird cage like treasure (With a tarp over it) and telling him and his friends to find it a good home to take root. The piskey is horrified at a mortal death in front of him, slips the body back into the alley. But the treasure turns out to be a lantern of pure balefire!

Oh DEAR!

IE.. a 'seed for a potentional hold.

the tarp is magical too, good thing, because whenever they lift it, it's like a disney cartoon in the area around them.... Piskey freaks... tells the others they gotta go go go go...they meet at his place, and find out the same... and all are freaking out. they call the mentor... and she's like "Shit kids! Can't you just get drunk and wake up with someone ugly like ordinary wilders?" But she doens't make the call for them

*LOL!!*

So they have a balefire seed, possibly dwinding, and a short time to find it a home... and deciddee if they want to tell the nobles, or try to claim it for commoners or themselves or what

You create the most delicious dramas.... *applause*

So what else is new?

Let's see, going to have another niece and her friend over... all day. I should be able to operate on line. Also need to call my dad. That will be stressful.

*nod* Same kinda way with my mom calling.

And tomorrow we have a sleep over guest for the 11 yr old arriving til Tuesday, so... yeah, right there with ya.

Some wonderful folks visit, but there are days where I want to tell folks "I want a week with just us Can we manage that? huh can..." but nope. Each one of us is taking turns with the busy so it gets busy for all of us all the time

*Nod* DH and I over the years have come to a reasonable balancing point; he goes out more, I plan and schedule less.

Plus right now, working 6 days/wk, I've HAD to cut back what-all I try to do.

Ugh. Ok. *girds up* Time to start getting ready. I'm still here though.
