so I was reading my current book last night and I read a little blurb about one of the 'founding fathers' of Isreal, kinda sorta

the guy that ended up being the Prime Minister in 1977

anyways, his story was that growing up in Russia, the Stalinists murdered pretty much everyone in his community nad packed the rest off to Siberia

anyway, this guy... I believe it was Menachim Begin... anyways... he survives the ordeal and when let free...

he WALKED the entire distance from Russia to Israel
