If I may suggest? Focus on who you need to have names for in her life... then who out of those names needs developed a BIT more...

For example, you need to know who her local lord is... but unless he or she is teaching your childling his /her self, they can be just a name and maybe three personality traits: Baroness Gretylla Duskgazer. Sidhe Grump; Meloncholy, Kind, Firm. From there other things will develop... what House you think suits, what style of rule would evolve from that. What folks think of her because of her traits. What kind of people would swear.

You also have to decide how successful this hold is in one area or another. Is it a faltering hold, now lacking influence and prestige and SHe is expected to turn it aroudn when she ascends? Or is it a really already a gem of a hold, and she must prove worthy of it and not scew it up? Terrible pressure could result either way

That's good, as it gives you at least a list of Duchies.. and those have Dukes/Duchesses listed and can give you a feel for how your hold might be received by those further up. And, natch, you may get ideas with just a few internet searches such as "Weird things in ______ state"
