House Dougal
We are in grave danger of losing our strong right arm. Some of the House of the Hammer see the near passing over of Princess Lenore (or the automatic assumption of a Gwydion Regency in her name by some of us) as gravely offensive to their whole House. Of course, some few Gwydion have pressed Lenore's claim, and this has mollified them even as it divided our own House further. But they are no fools. In times of war, it is not warriors alone that matter, but the smiths that outfit them. House Dougal still respects us, but they are no longer as sure of us as they used to be, and that is a deep and dangerous sting.
All the more because they are now besieged from all sides from other Houses hoping to win them over to their service instead of ours. This is not new, for quite some time the Ailil have sniffed and tried to go for the scraps that Dougal might offer them up. Fortunately, the Ailil constantly forget that they are the very anthesis of the honesty loving Dougal. The Balor have earned no love by their attempts to infiltrate, and the Leanhaun, 'ever charming' are often seen as next to useless by the hard-working House. Of greater danger in stealing them away are some of the 'Lost Houses' which I will get into later.
