He was just hanging from the classroom's drop ceiling. The custodian wanted to kill him. I made him get me a step ladder, I got a sweatshirt, and caught the bat inside it. Let him go in a pine tree outside. He wasn't particularly happy, but he was alive.

Believe it or not, I -- TRIED to save a black widow spider. Me, the arachnophobe. She was in a corner here at work. Same thing, co-worker wanted to kill, so I grabbed a jar, and somehow got her inside.

Took her two doors down where there were bushes, and tossed her into them. Was quite pleased -- until about 20 minutes later, when Pest Control (totally coincidentally) showed up....and started spraying the bushes and around the building.
