FYSA, the brake cushion on my 2000 Corolla disintegrated. So the brake lights would not go out. And in the a.m., it would not go.

DH noticed, commented, researched. I found the part, sent him directions since he'd left with kids for scouts.

He brought home part, and we worked together under the dashboard. Due to size, he did not fit. Due to hand strength and arthritis, I couldn't do the work.
