all hardwood floors - the brush attachment broke and it still sucks, but can't pick up anything solid - like, a grain of rice - without going over several times and crossing fingers. And the extension tube for the wand is too short, so when I try to vacuum the furniture the body either bangs into me, or falls the hell over

Review: Read a bunch of reviews that compared this to a Dyson. I bought the Shark and I especially do not understand the Dyson hype now. This vacuum does everything I need. It does a great job of cleaning, it is easy to empty out, and simple to maintain. Sure, it doesn't look as pretty as a Dyson, but who the hell cares? It's not like you're putting a spotlight on your vacuum cleaner and showing it off to your guests as the centerpiece of your home decor... or maybe you are... I don't know. If you are, maybe get yourself a prettier vacuum cleaner. And a therapist.
