I'm a softy

My favorite teacher of all time was also an ADHD'er. He totally understood me doing the 6-week project on polar bear ecosystem and metabolic industrial contamination the night before. And showing up at the end of class to turn it in.

His office looked like my room.

That sounds like an awesome teacher.

He was. He also locked himself out of his own house and was late for class because he had to call his wife at work to let him back in.

I understand your pain. My husband has ADHD and MDD, and he has to coordinate with his professors for retakes and extended time for his exams too.

Yeah. I was offered accommodations, but declined. I mean, you give me extra time, I'll just use it to procrastinate longer, so why bother?

Glad it worked for him, though. 🙂

I think it's also that he can coordinate the time to take the test, as he doesn't do well early in the morning (read: before meds kick in) so a test taken at 8 or 9am might have wildly varying results from one taken at noon or 2pm

I can't tell when my meds have kicked in -- they don't much, anymore -- but Liz can almost always guess if I've taken them and how long ago. I can't figure out how she does it.

Mornings are bad...no..mornings are not bad. Waking up is bad. Does not matter when it happens. 😄
