I think so. The reasons he would do it generally tended to be things he thought would protect people.

I think Hemlock forbade her from seeing him, maybe that was part of it?

Jer 'helped' a Dreamstruck Kinain, Rhodie, by Ravaging them. It was frequently fun to horrify people, only to have them realize that in the end, it was for a good reason. Turning expectations upside down.

It would be like Zara Ravaging someone in front of August, because it was the only way to remove the Glamour causing the problem. Until August knew that, how would he see it? Even AFTER he knew that, how would he see it?

It would be a good way to test how much trust he has in her, too.

Hmmm. I think I know the actual etiquette answer -- the one Jer would give, anyway...., but might be wrong. If it's something you can't help....like, say, disfiguring scars...no one expects the scarred person to stay inside and never leave to avoid horrifying people.

No one expects her to starve to avoid appearing rude.
