So, onward they go, at a more hurried pace.

Dag, to be fair, is more than content in spending time with Symon on "an adventure" than determined to retrieve the object of the quest.

They move along, enjoying the 'every city with fog' scenery. More urchins, strangers in trench coats with canes, and , perhaps the favorite, cats made of fog moving so quietly.

It is Dagmar , not Symon, who notices him first. A figure ON the silver, prone, and stripped of his goods, and much of his voile. A sidhe whos beauty has taken a pounding it seems. This maybe the wonder of the Dreaming, but Dagmar knows a mugging when she sees the after results of one

Her eyes narrow, and she starts forward at a quickened pace.

She finds he's hurt, badly. Cuts and bruises. No one was going for the kill though

The knight drops to one knee, quietly examining the sidhe. "Hey... I'm going to turn you over, okay?"

Symon had flickered a hand up to suggest a halt, but Dagmar rushed forward before he had a chance to make his whisper, fainter yet at this level of the dreaming, heard. "Ware a trap." He hisses, catching up.

"I... yes" A wheeezy gasp

She turns him over, continuing to inspect. "Who are you? What happened?"

Symon lets her take point, but is on guard against treachery.

Sy gets a little smile - but she's also trusting her relative size and armor against any surprises from the prone man.

The fellow says "Attacked on the silver... who DOES that?" He is a mess, but revives slowly. Gorgeous fellow, but he is a sidhe so it cheats. Purple eyes flicker under a mop of bloodied silver hair

"Do you remember your name?" She peers at his eyes, checking his pupils. (And listens for truth!)

"Baron Evaric ap Eiluned" He answers... ironicly the lack of a lie could be that he is telling the truth AND the House of Secrets protection "And who is my rescuer?"

"Dame Dagmar of Rivervale. I'm gonna touch your head." She warns, before checking for lumps.

"Thank you for the warning, it is a bit tender" He has taking a beating, could have a concusion but the dreaming seems to have prevented that

"Looks like you're gonna have one hell of a headache, but no concussion." She rises and offers him a hand up. The green-and-gold armor with decorative falcon etchings might give her house away.

He needs the help, he notices the symbol "A Gwydion, well, this has been a humbling day. Robbed of everything including my treasure, and saved by a falcon . Still, later beats the alternative. I don't suppose any of you have healing?"

She grimaces and shakes her head.

"Quite all right. My own fault, several magics are mine and I didn't learn healing. Damn Synde and Clutch anyway"

Brow?

"The two who mugged me... they wanted my treasure, I'm sure of that. We Eiluned are very bright you know. Just ask us, " Evaric chuckles

"I've met my share, yeah. You manage to keep it?"

"No" he says his attempt at good humor failing, "They took Clarion... a magic horn of mine. Marvelous wonder, and intelligent, it trumpets discoveries in the area ready to be found. Holding it extends the range and accuracy of your kenning. It can tell you magic treasures from yards away"

"And they're treasure-hunters, so I can see why they'd want it."

"It certainly fits" He says "I.. don't suppose you folks have a spare..jacket or some clothes? If not I understand... I will try to repay you, I promise"

"Yeah, I think you're too big for any of S-... my companion's. But we can make something of mine work."

"Rivervale. I'll remember it and pay my thanks to your liege. I maybe a landless Baron, but I'm not without resources"

She digs in her pack. "The Dreaming usually lets us remember what we need to. So - the pair of them. Redcaps?"

"Troll and Sluagh" he says looking at her "You see why I was worried when first you turned me over"

"Huh. Ironic, that."

"The Dreaming works in odd rhymes. May I repay you with a spell or two? Fair fortune or something?"

"I could even give you a quicksilver and let you rush ahead for a bit" He says "had I used it faster I might have gotten out of that fight"

She looks back at Symon, eyebrows lifted in a silent question.
