There is a balor patrol, not where they're going but on a trod, the toll trod not so far away. The goodnews is, they have a patrol time, and by laying low waiting for the return trip, our heroes can easily make it to their immediate goal while the Balor or gone. Symon and Dagmar count to 42 , and the Balor depart again. With no trouble from THAT side, they step through and onto the formerly hidden trod.

They cut through the fog and find themselves in a trod set in a city.... this is London's banks, this is San Fran's lower edge, this is the streets of Nashville when the manhole covers vent, and more. It is every city where fog rises.

Symon actually looks a little pleased at seeing the Balor, though he lays low all the same. They may not have the integrity of Rovers, but all know that Balor claim control over trods. If they are passing through here, it at least indicates that any major threats may be cleared - if only for the Sidhe Lords' convenience. Still, much better to go unseen. Who knows what toll the Sidhe may try to extract for their 'service', or however they might twist it.

"One snake was enough for this day." He whispers though he gives an apologetic pat to Qetz.

"The fog comes in on little cat feet. Lovecraft will be sad she missed this." Symon whispers up to Dagmar.

Indeed, the Dreaming's 'mists' are one thing, the fog is another. As if perked by Symon's poem, some of the fog moves about their feet like a feline that just can't help but be underfoot, perhaps out of affection, perhaps in desire to trip

"She will be. Glad we missed the Balor, though. They might treat you square, but not a Falcon."

A chimerical Newboy calls out from the side of the trod "EXTRA EXTRA, QUESTORS DISCOVER OUR FORMELY HIDDEN TROD! THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD MANY SAY! READ ALL ABOUT IT!"

Symon glowers at the newsboy, and then thinking, tosses him a grubby penny from his pocket.

The newsboy catches it smoothly. Then throws a rolled up paper in return "There you go, Guv" His voice softer as he's not adveritising

A fingertip salute, and he passes the paper up to Dagmar.
