A pause "Oh. I DId forget the best part"

"Best part?"

"Yeah.. because it's pretty much all dreaming.. you can take Star if you want."

"Ohhh..."

"I'm not much of a rider, but... " Seeing Dagmar's excitement. "I can manage."

"I don't know if it would be good to take her from Spark." Disappointment.

"Stormwake can foalsit... or I can."

"He'll be okay for a few days. He's gotta be starting on oats and stuff by now, right?"

"He's weaning, but fussy about it."

"And all the apples. "

"We'll make sure he gets some Mare's milk in a bottle. The DeBukes have it"

A noncommittal mumble.

"Why not ask Star what she thinks? Maybe she would welcome some time away from the demanding bra- um, excitable little thing."

A chuckle

then a thought "Hey, if star is okay with it.. get a small glass or something.. and get squirt of her milk. We put that in the magic cauldron. And..voila"

"That... hunh. That's an idea."

"I mean, CJ uses bottles sometimes."

"Don't the turks drink fermented mare's milk?"

"I don't know it was them or hte mongols, but yeah"

"Anyway, up to you guys"

"We're doing it."

"Okay. You'll want to take the trod near the ledge of.. " And he describes a spot near the lodge to start from

"Whether you go on foot or horse"

"Got it. Looks like we're RV bound again."

"Thanks, Vali. And thanks for washing your hands."

"Tiffany makes me" He says

"Good."

"And thanks back guys. Sounds like you had a better time this leg but still ..fighting a feathered serpent. Whew"

"She was really nice!"

"She is isn't she? I mean, she looks either scary or majestic or both, but her voice makes you think she's about to make you some butter rolls"

"Yeah. She's very grandma."

"The dissonance is quite interesting."

"It is. Look, I have to go on a patroll but by the time you get here I should be back."

"Cool."

"Thanks again" And he hangs up

"Did you want to check in with Fenix before we head back?"

"Think we need to?"

He grins. "Nah, we might get a lecture. Let's head back."

Nod. "Good plan."

And so, our adventurers are Bergen-Bound!

Arriving at Bergen, they are immediately swarmed by... well, dogs

Oak, Edelwiess, Brown Dog and Two bit bounce around them to say hi

He checks his shoulder... before leaving, he asked the little snake if he wanted to stay in the land of the Aztecs, or go on a travel with him?

"Hey!" Much love is given.

The snake slides out..apparently it wanted to come along. It licks the air, sees the dogs, and looks at Symon to ask if he's allowed to eat one? A dog that is

Oh yes.. poor Dagmar has but two hands, and there are so many ears to be scratcheed and bellies to be rubbed

"Let's see about.. uh.. milking Star... so, like, you could ride pillion..."

He whispers, "Anything that smells like Dagmar, is off limits."

The snake looks at him as if to say As freely as she's petting mammals? Fine..but it narrows the food choices a LOT

"Let's see what's in the fridge. I'll find you some meat for now." A grin as he slips into the lodge.
