"Mmmmmyes?" She says, casually, as though she wasn't just trying to hide Big E's favorite pool cue under her pillow.

"I understand you said I deserved a raise," She blushes "It's very kind of you. Prices going up and all"

Carola feels an unfamiliar feeling. It's a little bit of a lurking, unpleasantness in her mind, realizing that the vassal under her aegis was in need, and is thanking her for providing... not out of recognition of that need, but out of her own selfish wish to keep a plaything around.

It feels.. not good, and she squashes it down.

"Yes, well, the economy." That sounds like a valid response! The news people are always saying 'Economy this' and 'Interest rates that'.

"Well you don't have to worry about that, it must be nice. All the more reason to thank you for speaking up for me knowing that I do. Can I get you anything?"

"Tell me about you, Estella. Estelllllllla. It means... something with stars, no? What are your dreams? What star do you reach for?"

Perhaps an odd question from the teen lounging on her bed, now she's sprawled so that her feet are up at the head, an awkward position, yet somehow Carola makes it look comfortable.

Estella tilts her head at the girl's limberness, then says "Yes, it means Star though I've always found it a bit 'old lady'" SHe admits "But it's my name so... I am used to it"

"As for my dreams..." She seems unsure how to answer

"Surely you don't wish to stay here and clean our dust for-ev-er. Not that I want you to go!" She says, and is surprised even as she realizes she means it.

A smile at that, then she says "Well, when I was younger I was tempted to become a nurse, or a doctor, or an actress.. or an actress who played a doctor" She chuckles "But such things did not seem likely. College was too expensive"

"And I don't have the confidence to be on display"

"But I watch you all the time. Does it not bother you?" Curious.

"Oh, no, I mean, your family does seem.. different, all of you, but then you pay me well and you each have your own hobbies and lives. In truth most of you acted like I was invisible"

"Have you not your own life? Or are you a bit actor in my story, and cease to exist when you go off screen?"

A troubled look but pooka boons are powerful "I ..sometime feel like that. That if I walked out of here and vanished, no one would remember me, that I would not be anymore than a footnote in the lives of others." For a moment a touch of cold. Just a little, "Of course I have my own life but currently well, no romance , and family feels a bit more like an obligation than a highpoint. WHich makes me feel a louse. " SHe ponders "In my time off, I like to watch movies. I enjoy sitting at the park with the fountain and people watching from a bench"

"Movies? With popcorn?"

"Of course" she smiles "I love romantic comedies, they're so silly really but sweet. You know, I saw a movie where a city girl from a weell to do family finds a farm boy who is actually very artistic. She sees his talent and is impressed and tells him to ignore his family's disrespect for his lifepath and to go for it. Of course, in her, he finds reason to be brave, and he becomes an artist. But he finds the art isn't right without her by his side to inspire him, but this girl is not so romantic, and has not one but TWO fellows alreadyh hanging about her. One of his rivals is very nice... but the other, a bad boy, trouble. Our farmboy artist struggles to win her heart, and she realizes it's not just his art he likes... oh terribly unlikely to happen but fun to pretend it could"

Carola finds her ears perked forward. Romance! Drama! Bad boys!

She plays in nonchalant. "I have much more important things to do than watch movies, after all." She examines her nails, having been reminded by Murmur that tongue-washing her hands looks improper in front of the mortals.

"But maybe it could be on in the background while you work. I would not mind that."

"Not much to see when I'm working. I clean. I move on" She smiles " I take pride in it, of courwse"

"Then perhaps..." She pouts a moment, then, "I will go see the one you recommended. And later, we can discuss it. You can talk while working, assuredly."

"Of course, if you like" She nods "It's not normally proper for me to talk unless spoken too first, but sure"

"Who decides what is proper?"

Upside down now, halfway off the bed, hair dangling to brush the floor.

"The people with the money, usually" She says "The rest of us ccan't afford to argue" She covers her mouth "I'm so sorry that was r ude of me"

"It was right, though. Well, you can talk to me. Rather, I insist. As the money-haver." Sitting back up, her hair a mess, and starting the process of carefully finger-combing it back into place. "It's not like I need the company, I am a very busy and popular person. But you must humor me anyways. An abuse of power, perhaps, but I am nothing if not cruel." A discrete glance over at Estella.

She's a pretty lady, despite the hard ship on her hands from her work. "Well, if your friends are ignoring you they're missing out of some fun company"

"Oh, yes. My friends." A slow blink, considering. "It has been a while since they have visited, no? Perhaps, you tell me. You see what I do not. How did my best friend behave when they last visited?"

Her phone is filled with numbers, but the names are mostly unfamiliar.

"Well, if you wish to know, Taylor , Bella and Jasmine and you were taling about going shopping, at high end places, of course."

"Of course, high end! One MUST keep her tail in the air, after all." A pleased look. Then she remembers the magic phrase, "That will be all!"

Stella actually smiles, then nods "As you wish " and slips away
