At the Doctor's, CC waits for the results

William at her side, if she will allow.

"I've been at this for twenty years" Says the Doctor "And I am in awe... complete and total remission. Not a trace" He says as he delivers the news

William squeezes her hand.

"Oh thank ggoodness "CC cries openly with joy "I was not looking forward to losing a breast"

"Thank you, doctor."

"Who would?" the doctor says gently "And you're both welcome. This is a happy exception"

"Yes." She sighs "Foive me, Doctor. I ..need to check on another medical siuation"

William stands and gets their coats, offer his hand to the doctor.

the doctor shakes it " congratulations again"

"So the same as I was" CC smiles

"Indeed" He smiles "Well, you gained 7 pounds, but that's hardly a ..."

"SEVEN?" CC looks back at her hips as if expecting them to launch to the side

"HERE we go, let's get along to our next appointment thank you so much doctor we'll check in with you later come Dearest let's be moving along....."

He hustles them into coats and out the door.

CC is moved before she can argue with the doctor, so EBG gets an ear ffful "Fucking tubers, they betrayed me!"

"They were necessary for the metabolism, Dearest. And you are healed; it was worth it. Now, let's see to that other thing, hm?"

"And I ate buttered ROLLS" She says "Oh crap. Well, salad city for me, ffrom now own. I'm going tto destroy that elliptical! "

"Absolutely, Dearest, yes. In fact, we have everything we need at home. Shall we?" he opens her car door for her.

And they soon are at another medical office, getting.. medically tested

A simple blood test, a wait......

William pays, of course.

CC looks quite happy for im to pay it , she movees on "Please don't take this poorly, but I thinnk I'm relieved not to be carrying your child. Or any child. Or any naked mole rats"

"Not at all, Dearest. I think we are of a mind in this."

"Well, I've got grandkids now. Less responsiblity, still lots of cuteness"

"Yes indeed!" he takes them home "You have enough on your plate, after all."

"Are you tapdancing on the inside that all is negative?" A suspicious look as they go home "you are aren't you?"

"Am I glad you have vanquished cancer? Of course! Am I glad you're not pregnant? Yes." he says gently.

And she smiles, as they come home
