At one time, Zara had the university here suggested to her.

It was out of the question really. But now she finds herself getting a drive from Bertrand into the heart of it. Then teenager's car is part prius, part Ford pick up "It was a gift" he explains

"THANKS.. the tripple Helix paint job was my idea" Proud as they park behind some dorms "She's in Kermit Hall up there. "

"Thank you Betrand. And I shall speak to you later of, mayhaps, a moonlight catcher..."

Needle teeth grin, "Fair and reasonable rates for the fansastic" then he says "Oh she's in Room 305. You want me to go with or is this a private sluagh thang?":

"Ah, you know how we are." A faint smile, and she slips off to seek Kenzi.

He nods. And seems okay with it. He's a mannerly boy

Up she goes, entering easily. It's a bit crowded for her tastes...signs of life.. and not quiet life.

No, she has not missed crowds.

She oozes past two girls arguing in the middle of the hall... she slips by a woman struggling moving a chair out of her room. And...

She lurks, and scans for red hair and spirals.

Peeking through a crack, she sees the... yes, it's her! It must be. Against safety rules for the dorm, she has apparently created a microwave cauldron!

"Scrying on Grandmother can be a dangerous occupation." She whispers.

"Firewitches don't much care for univited guests..." Kenzi draws flames about her, chimerical ones ... but the visual is.. impressive

"Now who the hell is at my door? in or way out"

"Oh, feisty this one. You want I should tremble?"

"It would be polite, yes," She snorts, and while her accent is cajun, the yiddish ism has eased her, for Nockers tend to dabble in such as a kith. "You got a petite voice there, and I can taste your glamour... so you coming in across my doorstep or being all rude?"

"Do not presume to dictate manners to me, Fire. The River sets her own course." The white-haired sluagh allows herself to be seen.

"Holy shit.." And the flames dim.. but the two have a rush of more memroies as they gaze on each other.

Zara splays a spidery hand over her chest and offers a bow.

"Welcome, fellow witch. You want some coffee why you tell me what the furk you remember? "

"You do not, perchance, have tea?" Hopeful.

There was a gate.. she remembers that .. elder berry... trees of... witching trees. They forged something beyond the gate. Grandmother did the work on.. argh!

"Tea? Yeah.. I got some. Keep your chemise on" She goes to a corner and pulls out a small pot making sure it's clean "Did you find the Field ?"

"Feh..." She touches her temple. "And aye. I thought to find you, so all three of us could meet. If you know not the Kindly One... realized not who summoned us three?"

"I was figuring it out.. too many slavic touches. the grandmother is the big one there.. hell, some might be hard pressed to name equals to her save her own sisters who have the same name right? If they really are her sisters and not just her shadows. But what I can't remember is why? what was it she wanted? And of all three somes, why River, Flame, and Field? "

"Precisely why we three should meet. For if you know who called, you also know the risk of snooping." Not that Miss River here seems averse to snooping...

"I remember enough about you that we were ALL problem children for her.. the troll wanted to get back to her duties, and you kept prying"

And Zara remembers that little miss flame kept wanting to improve the ritual

"And you thought you knew better." Amused.

"Well.. yeah" she says with a shrug "Just wanted to.. oh yeah, she got iirked with all of us, like I said. " A blink "We're all sorceresses. What are your two arts? Has to be close to mastery to at least two. "

"I am a soothsayer."

"And I'm a pyro" wryly "But we both know we each have something else up oursleeves. This.. FIeld.. the Troll ? She decent?"

Zara nods. "I could bring you to her."

Tea is served , and, it would seem Kenzi knows a bit about it, sniff sniff chicory tea?

Zara murmurs thanks and follows all politeness, as Tea is due.

"Yeah we need to meet, but have you thought about the catch?"

"The catch?" Eyebrow.

"The three of us meet. Memories return, but we also are three again... old cauldron britches might sense that and think we were plotting against her"

A little hand wave. "Then she should not have summoned me and cloaked my memories."

"Huh, tell me, do you ever feel lopsided?"

"Pardon?"

"Dragging balls that big around? It ever throw you of balance when you make a sharp turn?" A needle grin "I mean, come on, talking smack about how if she doesn't like it she shouldn't have tangled with you?"

"Simply that she is well aware of who she called. We had met, previously. I hold her in great respect, but I shan't simply settle for not knowing, nu?"

"Not knowing is the furking WORSE." She grumbles in agreement "If I wanted to be ignorant I'd never have started learning."
