For a certain boggan, there's only one place to go first to get rumors, stories and facts. Firnost. The place bustles with low lifes, highborns, neer do wells, and could do better, but there will always be a fondness for i. Emerson trots in and gets some suprised looks from those who haven' seen him in a bit. Mostly ignored by the sidhe, and a few waves.

the Jukebox remembers him, playing music from that show, Breaking Bad

The jukebox gets a look, but otherwise he's a harmless little boggan, busy busy busy......

The gauntlets await his order

"A stout, I think." he instructs, and glances around; who here might know something of interest?

A stout is offered.

He sees an Eshu! Mmm lots of stories, how much truth in them?

And there's a Wichtel

Emerson watches them, and the room, for a minute. A boggan can learn much this way, using their kith's strengths to suss out motivations and goals.

"I'm telling you, you need to back off stories in that area" the Wichtel warns the Eshu

"I go where the stories are, friend, what's in the heart of Texas that WICHTEL would wantt hidden?" A chuckle

Wichtel are hard workingg, plain, and vengeful. Eshu are reckless. this may not go well

"Some places aren' to be blabbed about" The Wichel huffs

"A commoner hold is not so rare, friend. " the Eshu says

"A secret one IS" The Wichtel whispes with a hiss. The boggan's ears remain sharp

A secret commoner hold in Texas.... of course, he heard rumors of a Texas Freehold changing hands and Houses recently, but it remained a noble 'Hold nevertheless.....

The Eshu rolls his eyes "Fine fine.. I'll change the details. Put it in another sate, that sort of thing . Goodness you Wicthel are fussy."

"You got no idea" the Wichtel says

They're also interested in hidden water and Oil. Mmm

Perhaps. Yes. Gold is magical enough to fit both.

The two argue and snap a bit more.. but eventually each goes to a different area thinking the other is a twit.

Which to approach? if either?

But then another person walks in, a weary looking postal worker, who happens to be a boggan.

He warms by the fire for a moment, then heads to the gauntlet "Stout and an aspirin"

Emerson nods to his kith-brother and lifts his own stout in salute. "Welcome. Long day?"

"You've got no idea. Long year. Was a time being in the postal service wasn't so damn political...then 2020.. and it's still get lingering. I was nearly unndone more than once. Gotten so I'm delivering further out just to avoid some of it"

The one-eyed fellow claps the other's shoulder. "Well, you should be safe here. Drink up. What news?"

"Oh well, I actually fear I've missed out on some of the fun local stuff... say, wait I know you.. Stockpool? No that's not right.. you manage that jazz club"

"I do indeed. Emerson Stodgepole." he offers his hand.

"Harry Finkle! Terrible name I know" he gives Emerson a hand shake "Nice to meet you, Emerson! I've delivered a few packages to that doorstep and the bouncers always treat me pollitely. Those Hugh and Ryker fellows even help with the heavy stuff" And he joins Emerson in a drink

"They are gems, they really are." he agrees "You must come by sometime for a meal and a drink."

"Oh not to whine about my finannces, but I doubt your servers want to deal with someonne who goes in and orders a saltine and water" a grin

"Allow me to make it a complimentary invitation then." he says genially. "For our hard working postal operative."

"Oh I'm not too proud to take such an invite" A grin "heard good things coming out of there, music wise.And he smells Oh.. fine smells. You know I've been around like I said but he fact I haven't been in such a fine place so close always made me feel a bit foolish"

"You will fit right in." Emerson assures him.

"I'm just not adventuresome enough" he says "Always been my problem. Why even as a Wilder I was the one who brought everything prepacked. Drove my motley nuts. Now other places are in the thick of it. Even when it spooks them. My nephew? Now he's a go getter. Heading off to Lotusland"

"Now, Harry, sounds to me that you are a boggan!" Jovially.

"Who is your nephew, and where is Lotusland?"

"Petey is a great kid ... and he's heading to Pacifica to see if rumors are true"

Emerson chuckles and sips his drink. "Which rumors are those?"

"Apparently the local Fiona baroness and her lackeys got lazy... there was some to do, and it maybe she got booted out. "

An eyebrow. "Oh? Local to where?"

"Sorrry, local to Pacifica.. Lotusland is a big garden area, not open to the public you have to make reservaions.. it's also a hold. California.. whatwas the zip code? 93108.. Yes. Santa Barbara"

"If it's true," Conspiratorially "he's going to help them. the sidhe have enough holds don't you think?"
