"This creative atmosphere is one of our favorite coffee stops. If you return, I'm sure we'll see each other." William smiles, and turns away to let him write. He eyes Callidora.

Callidora holds up her phone, clearly she's got the young man's contact info, She whispers "That's two. Where's the third?"

William kenns the room.

and gets a blip in the corner.

a thirty five year old man sips coffee, looking a bit uncomfortable Blue collar sort. Probably finds the coffee over priced. And he has the look of one who wonders how the hell he got here?

He looks closer.

And subtlely indicates the man to Callidora.

Old for his age might be the term. Yes, he's one of the hobgoblins, but the fit seems inexact. Why was the soul drawn to him? Disatisfaction with something?

"Trucker?" She tries to guess his occupation

A narrowing of his eyes and frustrated huff. "Without someone to interact with, it's difficult for me to read him. Blue collar certainly, somewhat confused and uncomfortable."

"Handled" She says , putting on her mask she approaches the Barista. Lays some money down, and whispers something.

The Barista looks surprised, nods.

CC returns and tells him "I told her to wait until the man's cup is empty then offer him a refill...paid by a stranger. We'll see how it goes?"

"Brilliant, Dearest."

"I'm not just a set of still servicible breasts, fantastic legs, tight rump, shiny hair, luciouslips, fantastic hips and.. oh I'm sorry I've lost track what was I saying?" A wink

" 'Still servicable' hardly does justice." he assures her.

Pleased look over her own cup as she sips anew

"In fact, Imay feel an ode coming on." he returns her wink.

"Shush" But fond

and sure enough, the Barista moves over to the man and offers that free refill or a second drink.

William watches carefully.

He appraises the woman before him, yes, he quickly evaluates her lovely symetry, but he is also cautious not to appear to be a creep about it.

Mostly he's confused, a bit on guard. As if he's not used to kindness and/or lucky breaks

Not a wedding ring. But there is an impression on that finger where a ring was.

A small smile.

He whispers to Callidora. "Divorced. On the whole a good man, but unaccostomed to kindness or good fortune."

He thanks her, and takes the drink, and can be heard saying "merry Christmas" out of politeness, not because he believes in them. The Barista smiles. A look of pity. And he knows it is. It chaffes him a bit but he takes the kindness anyway. He looks about the younger crowd now. Thin as it is.

Envy?

Little bit. But a lot of regret.

This is a man who is mid thirities but feels like he's already blown the best years of his life

William reports this.

"Mid thirties is a bit young to throw in the damn towel" she frowns, then blinks "Ahhh.. no wonder the psirit felt drawn.. perhaps some part of it is trying to help?"

"Perhaps?" he seems unsure as well "It might appeal, yes."

"Should I steal the poor bastard's wallet so we can get his contact info?"

He smirks at her for a moment.

"You could seduce him."

"Well, obviously" SHe smiles "But it seems an odd way to spend yule, bedding him instead of talking to you"

He takes her hand, smoothing his thumb across her knuckles. "I don't disagree. There was a time when I would have insisted on the mission coming first but........."

"mmm" A smile "Watch him go, get his plate number?" Another idea

"Could do." quietly, intimately.

"It seems so odd that this..well, It's odd" a chuckle and she whispers "A new kith you say? And.. the Yule Star."

"Not a new Kith... new to us."

"True. Interesting but important distinction"

"Mmph."

"We'll leave as he does, yes?"

"Yes" She nods and leans her head on his shoulder

A few moments pass, and he says very quietly. "My suggestion that you seduce him was not..... I didn't mean to direct you, Dearest. That is not our relationship."
