"I know. I'm being perfectly honorable I swear. I don't even LOOK at other girls, they like, don't exist. And I don't make her do anything, I ask, and ..you know, hope, and i realize we're both too young for.. some stuff. It's not fair to her."

She wavers her hand. "I'm not one to say if you're ready or not. I was eighteen, for what it's worth. Here's the truth - most of the kids at school are probably... well.. exaggerating."

"So you're saying JOey has not banged 'dozens of hawties'" A blush but a smile

"No, probably not. And I doubt even a single one is as interesting a person as Sylvi."

"Yeah" He smiles, "She's pretty great. Smart and pretty, and ... you know, she cares about folks?"

"She does!"

"And she cares about mortals, too. Not just fae."

"I think Sir Frank's influence is in the whole lodge. Did you know she helped him with Refugees once?"

"I didn't!"

"Yup. She can be really good with people"

She nods. "I expect she'll be the chietain, someday."

"Probably, she's a natural leader" A pause, "But she may travel some first. Siv, Siv will want the ship." A chuckle, "Gerd? I think Gerd would be happy working in the kitchen somedays but other days .. I don't know. but she's just a kid. "

A smile. "Gerd's great. Maybe, if I get my life in order, I'll have kids when I'm a grump."

"You could be Uncle Colton, right?"

He grins, "You would be a great mom too. Some sidhe foster probably? or do you mean... well, you know, actual kids born?" A blush

"I... I really don't know?"

"Well, long way off, just.. you know, now adays... anything is possible"

"Oh yeah, science... " She chuckles and shakes her head. "Yeah, I'll probably adopt."

"And some kid will be lucky for it. me? I don't kow.."

"I think you deserve a family. I mean, yes, you're basically a Truthbranch these days, but you don't want alllll that sidhe drama."

"Oh, you guys are kind of fun to watch, thoguh I admit it seems to be ..you know, exhausting"

"It can be. Though I seem to be the low-key one..."

"Yeah, i bet if you wanted you could get into some again Or maybe you are but your'e just not one to make a fuss. how's the art school stuff?"

Her wings fluff. "Done! Almost all A's!"

A grin "I saw some of your..not sure I can call it homework, but it looked great. You paint great feathers... but then you have a model"

She laughs. "Yup. I cheat."

"I was thinking of asking you to help me make a gift for Sylvi sometime? Maybe?"

"Sure. What were you thinking?"

"Well, some sort of painting with her favorite things, ...stuff she likes. I've been trying to pay attention"

She nods. "Could. You might also try a collage or a shadow box..."

'Shadowbox?"

"A box with lots of little compartments... you could find tiny versions of things, and fill it. Three dimensional, instead of pictures."

"huh. That.. mgiht be different enough that..thanks" A smile

"Happy to help!" The buzzer dings, and Sparrow grabs the potholders to retrieve the casserole. "Grab plates, soup's on!"

"Right away!" And he does, from his earlier bad mood he's jumped right to happy thanks to her. And they can talk about school and other htings while they eat
