As far as she's concerned, she knows little more about Basil's partner count than he does of hers.

She grins. "That's dad. He won't give you too much more than you can handle, but he wants you to know that the bad guys don't play fair, either."

"Definitely, you taking him up on his lessons too?"

"Well...it's been a while. Guess I could. Kinda busy, though."

"Yeah?" He asks curiously "Teaching stuff or Freeholder stuff?"

"Both. I am SO glad I'm only doing substitute work. I don't have to do stuff like plan lessons or grade. If I had to do that stuff...sheesh...I don't know how Mountain Vali manages."

"And to think we used to bust Mr. Gardener's chops" A grin

She grins back. "I mean, he kind of asks for it, with all the corny jokes."

"So, if you're training with Dad, are you going to fight at Pennons?"

"YUp, wanted to represent GOldfinch"

She looks pleased. "What's your best weapon?"

He looks at his crotch, then back at her, and smiles

She rolls her eyes. "That was way too easy a shot, even for you."

"I mean, you're not wrong...." A wink.

A grin then "Spear is my best. "

"That's what I thought, but I didn't know if it was still the case. We've sparred, but it's been a while...wouldn't mind doing that again." A bit of a challenge.

A brow lift under the horn "Your knife, my spear?"

A smirk. "You forget, I have a spear, too. Nunnehi-make."

"OH yeah, a beaut" He nods "Sure thing, let's clash"

She nods. "Best place is probably the Lodge. Less chance of getting spotted by mortals."

A grin "You got reach on me, I admit it, but I got the speed"

"And the stamina" she points out, smiling.

"Glad you noticed, course, that troll strength...damn" A smikle "Should be fun"

"Yeah. Probably piss off my Dad a bit, too." She looks amused by the prospect.

"Oh? Hell, we could make a bet in front of him, I win, you wear what ever I want for the night? You win, I wear what you want?"

"So you have a death wish. Good to know."

"Can't say I'm boring" He points out

"No, that's true," she says with a bit of a laugh. "Well, how about we save the bet-making for Pennons?"

"Pissing off my dad is one thing. Giving him a stroke is off the table."

"Deal" he says with alaugh

She pulls him in by one horn for a playful kiss. "Deal.

And the kiss is playfully returned

And the two make their way to go spar at the lodge...

but that's a situation for another time
