Piper trots around, looking for Sylvi...

Sylvi is putting up some curtains on a side window that, in her opinion, needed them.

"Sylvi! There you are. Adding interior decorating to your to-do list?"

“Hey! Like it? It’s not much, but bare windows are just so bleh.”

"Are you sure you just don't want anyone to catch glimpses of 'walk of shame' folk tottering around after parties?" A wicked grin, SHE apparently has no shame.

She snickers. “We should take photos and set up a gallery on the wall of the kitchenette.”

"Yessssss." Piper laughs. "But, I wanted to ask if you'd heard about this...." Showing Sylvi a flyer, by now a bit rumpled from being in her pocket and reading and re-reading over it.

A blink. “How…how did I miss THIS?” She sits down on a ratty but comfy sofa, frowning as she looks at the flyer. “Who’s putting it on?”

Looks like the School district itself, the high schools plural and School board..

someone may have donated some funds

"See, it's high school sponsored, but..." A bit of a grin. "It doesn't SAY you have to currently be enrolled. There's just an age limit."

Piper perches on the arm of the sofa.

A slow grin as she looks over the details again and then looks at Piper. “You’re going to game the system and win the day.”

"I kiiiinda wondered if I should feel bad to go up against 'mere mortals'... for like a minute. But then I figured that the best singer should win, and NOT using my talents wouldn't be true to myself after all. AND I could scout for talent that might be useful as dreamers?"

“Yeah, I’d don’t want to squash dreamers, but if you inspire AND seek them out to muse them…I think it’s worth the win.”

"Maybe I can match-maker 'em. I mean, there are a LOT of fae here, and I can match-make dreamers to musers?"

“Yeah…” A curious look. “Y’know, Piper…you really need to get more comfortable musing. I mean, in my opinion. We need more musers.”

She shrugs a bit. "Why not let the dreamers go to folk who are good at it, and enjoy it? It's a precious resource... and me taking a pass just means there's more for everyone else."

“I guess.” She drops the topic, and hands back the flyer.

"I might be a little out of touch with what's currently most popular with the school troop. I figured I might ask you for song suggestions?"

"Rikki said I should go heavy metal, but I'm not sure if she was serious or not." A grin.

“Well, probably not if you want to win.” She considers. “Well, there’s a LOT of k-pop. Is that something you can do?”

“Oh, y’know what? There’s that remix of that ANCIENT Elton John song that Dua Lipa did. It’s EVERYwhere. Maybe…do a remix of something? Like, blend it with original stuff?”

"K-pop? I can do pop, but I don't think Symon would do a duet with me..." grinning.

"Oh! Mashups! Those are great!"

“Ha! Symon can do the special effects. But yeah, I think a mashup would be MUCH better. Unexpected, y’know?”

"And... I mean, this is probably counting chickens before they're even eggs, but if I win... I'd HAVE to take you to the show with me, you know?"

"It's like, your THING."

Wide eyes. “ME?! You’d take ME? “

"I mean, yeah?"

“I mean…I just figured you’d take Siv or Jonas….”

"If it was three tickets, maybe? But YOU would enjoy it the most..."

“Piper…”. She reaches over and gives the satyr a hug, without knocking her off the arm of the couch. “You are the best.” Then she adds, “You better win.”

She laughs! "Just don't hold it against me if I come in 2nd place and get a toaster or something..." Hugging back!

“Deal!”

“So, of course I’ll do your makeup, right?”

"Of COURSE! I still get a little... itchy, with mirrors." She confides. Perhaps why she doesn't generally wear makeup...

“Wow…I never thought about that. Yeah, okay, I can totally do that. We’ll work out the style after you know what piece you’re performing.”

She gives a smile. "It's not a big deal, really. Mostly I get away with natural cali-girl sun-tanned beauty." She bats her eyelashes.

“Well, no lie, that’ll carry you a long way…but stage lights are evil and will wash you the heck out.”

"Ack! Then I will make you EARN your share of the prize, girlfriend."

“I wouldn’t want it any other way!”
