“We had better go check on Karen. Did she actually see the… thing? Or did you catch it on its way in or stalking her?”

"She saw it, but I don't thikn she saw fangs " Dirk says "I grabbed the guy, glared at her and said in my most helpful voice 'Run or die'" And it's chillinng to hear his voice even in a repeat

Piper swallows.

Sylvi's eyes widen, and her instinct is to take a swing at him to give the others a chance to get away by making herself a target.

"She says she got a nasty scare, was nnearly mugged, then some meth head JUMPED tthe mugger.. and threatened to kill her, and she ran"

"Threattened to KILL her?" Dirk scoffs "oh ttha's bullshit"

“Run or Die? That sounds like a death threat to me!”

"Well, if she had't run the vamp would kill her" Dirk shrugs "And I've BEEN Scarier"

Linwood blinks "What, you didn't make her piss herself so it doesn't count?"

Arguably, an angry Kerri is scarier than Dirk.
