For Sylvi, it was simple enough to go in and get the stuff, then return. There was no sign of those three ladies

She returns to find Siv sleeping before the bale, Piper may have literally sung her to sleep

Though it's muffled and in one of the higher level studios, Piper is playing music. Angry music.

Sylvi quietly puts Siv's stuff nearby so she can see it when she wakes.

She wants to do more, but she also doesn't want to piss Siv off like that time at the mall way back when.

Flopsy bounds up "Ah, seems Piper is upset" HIS ears hear that noise

"Yeah," she whispers. "Would you mind staying here with Siv? Just...y'know...so she's not alone when she wakes up?"

"Don'tt mind, even if Siv is a cat lover"

"Your sacrifice is noted," she says fondly, and then ventures upstairs in search of Piper.

She follows the sound of angry music.

Acoustic doesn't generally sound angry, but that's the vibe that is pulsing through even the closed studio door. Perhaps she's challenging the new soundproofing.

She thinks about knocking and interrupting, but then the ANNNNGRRRYYYYY part kicks in and she hesitates. That could potentially intimidate Dirk.

(Is there a window to see into the studio?)

(Is there? Sure, why not!)

Instead, she peeks through the window to see what's going on in there.

The angriest of the notes die down, and Piper, eyes closed, unaware that she might be observed, lets her fingers play over the strings. Her body moves with the music, not choreographed, not planned, just letting the emotion run through her.

"Should I confess

A frown. And...she gives a tentative knock on the window.

A startled jump! Luckily her guitar is on a strap, she'd be fussy if she had dropped it... a momentary look of annoyance, until she sees who it is. Her expression clears, mostly. Trots over, flipping a switch on the recording table, and then opens the door.

"Sorry, Sylvi... I was testing out some sounds."

"Yeah, I heard. I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were recording. Um...you okay?"

"Sure.... yeah... no." She starts to fib, and then shrugs it off. "Not really, no. I was about THIS close to marching out, tracking down, and putting my hoof up someone's ass." A sigh. "So I decided to blow off steam this way instead. I think I got a good sound out of it at least."

Piper does look a little more chill than she did on Siv's arrival, now that the music has faded. Even muffled, it was enough to stir Sylvi to want to get angry herself.

"Yeah...I get it. I really do." Yes, she felt that urge for retaliation. A deep breath. "I think this was a better choice. And...they're mortals. They're asshole mortals, but still mortals. They don't get it."

"I still WANT to." She pouts. "But I'm not GOING to. Siv wouldn't appreciate it, for one. Funny how trolls can rally to the defense, but should you dare try to fight their fight?" A smile now, to Sylvi.

Hands up. "Guilty as charged. We're annoying that way. And...you know, if it was a fae that did this to her? I'd be helping you plot and plan."

"I know Siv wants to do things herself, and prove that she CAN, and prove that she's WILLING, and prove that she's ENOUGH... but the only one I think she really needs to prove that to is herself."

A shrug. "That's a plenty demanding audience."

"I'm going to fight this my own way, by helping her out. She can say yadda yadda about not being afraid of hard work - " A snort at that, afraid, a Fiona? "But that doesn't mean she needs to scrub floors. Not when there is perfectly GOOD mortal work she can do, but in a situation that's on her site."

Pulling off the guitar, she sets it aside - the strap catches on her horns and for a moment she is stuck and has to shimmy free with an annoyed squeak.

"Yeah, I gotta admit, the scrubbing-floors thing was a weird choice."

To her credit, she does not laugh at the guitar strap undermining Piper's declaration.

"I wonder if she's ever helped out at the Y, where the Chieftain works?"

"I think she wanted some space from her Ma, maybe? I did some research and found this place..." She shows Sylvi a somewhat wrinkled print out.

"See, this place is right over in Alpine, like... 20 minute drive?"

"I don't know if they're HIRING, but... you've heard the news. Pretty much every business is looking for someone while people at at home still getting Unemployment from COVID, or holding out for better pay. I saw what Siv was making mopping at the Club, it can't be worse than what they'd offer."

Sylvi looks it over, and her expression brightens. "This could be really good!"

"I'm going to go check it out, and if they aren't hiring, maybe I can convince someone who DOES work there that there's a better job waiting for them. See... it's real work. Running a register, cleaning up, washing boats, fueling... she'd probably have to learn about how MOTORED boats work if she wanted to advance at all past "scrub bitch"... And there's STILL going to be nasty people there, I mean, YACHT rental.... but she'd be near the water, and AROUND stuff she likes."

"And that might buffer her against the worst of it."

"And.... " Piper can't help the EVIL grin. "I can call them boats. It will drive m'cap'n love BATTY."

That gets a laugh!

"Do you think it might work? Sometimes I get ideas... well, I'm not a bottle blond, just let me say."

Piper looks to Sylvi, a bit unsure.

"I think it has a really good chance of working, yeah. Especially after this. I say go for it."

"Listen, I left Flopsy downstairs to keep an eye on Siv. She's still asleep. I was going to do a quick-ish makeup demo in one of the rooms, unless you need me?"

Piper claps her hands together with a bright grin! As quick as it came on, her moods change and she's excited. "I'm going to go check on it right now!"

"Yes... please stay. I'll feel better knowing you're with Siv. And since it's YOUR HOLD, she can't accuse YOU of babysitting her." A grin to Sylvi.

"Sounds good." A wink and a grin. "To work!"

And.. to work! Each has their plans

it would seem the Freeholder and the one who found the place are united in 'operation kick Siv in the shorts and get her brains going'
