“Yeah. I’m wondering about some of the vintage recording equipment. Maybe it could be sold to collectors, to fund buying newer stuff. It’s cool, but not necessarily usable in some cases.”

She doesn’t look sold on the idea though.

"Please, don't play that one until you have o." She says

“Yeah There’s too much history in it. Ideally? I’d like to have a little museum of music and recording history. If there was space and interest. One dozen things at a time though, right?”

“Let the Angel and Deville names be known again”

"Maybe Angel and Deville should have their old songs tweaked into new styles? And a cover?"

“If it gets attention back to their story? Certainly. Maybe….” She is thinking.

“Not asking for donations. But a fundraising concert to revive the studio as a local historical treasure?”

“And restore it to business for new artists to be discovered, or discover their art. Like Lori and her electric Viola.”

"Oh what do we do about LorI?"

“I was hoping to continue her tutoring. There’s space here, and maybe she could attract attention to others who are interested in avante garde instrument…”

"Get Linwood to help, fledges need training in musing" She adds

“Oh, I don’t know.” she shakes her head. “That'… not me. They need someone else to teach them. Maybe- I can ask Tove to help.”

"love?" Cautious "Are you doubting yourself because of your past? "

She bites her lip.

Siv strokes PIper's hair "You did your time and then some. You paid your dues. It was a dark part of your life but it is not all your life nor should it hold you back from doing the good I know you can do"

“I can’t teach musing. I can’t.” She shakes her head. “I’m not even confident about my own efforts. I might teach someone wrong, or misleading, and if they went down the wrong path and… did it wrong? I’d never forgive myself. And no one else would, either. Please, don’t ask me to do this.”

"Hey .. whoa now" Siv gives litle kisses meant to calm "I'm here.... and you can't really muse them down the wrong path, they still have free will, you just might fail to inspire. Different, okay? "

She shakes her head. “You’ve never… it's… its closer then you’d believe. And It’s so easy. You just reach out and…” Piper is shaking a little now.

“I don’t want to talk about it. Not here. Not this place.” She stands and moves to a window, trying to open it to get some fresh air- and the cracked paned frame is stuck and doesn’t budge.

“Damnit!” She swears at the window and jerks at the frame, without success. Possibly getting attention if any other lingering folk are around from the party

"Want me to bust it?" Dirk offers from a corner

"No... she doesnn't" Siv says and moves to the window "Here, let me. " She touches the frame, and reshapes it. "Should open now, for a bit"

When Siv turns around, Piper is gone. The faint clatter of hooves beating a retreat, down the hall, satyr speed, and then the door which she had locked the night before, out and away.

"Damn it..." Siv calls out and... casts again and where there was a troll, now a bird flies after the satyr

The bird will find a door open where Piper made her escape, and she's booking her way down the street. Is a satyr faster than the crow flies?

Finch actually, it would appear the hold 's influence may have gottenn to Siv

But probably able to cut corners in the airwhere Piper has to ggo around things

Piper is actually making a fairly straight beeline, until a sudden horn blare gets her attention, and she stops short of running into a road.

And the finch uses that chance to catch up and land on her shoulder

Her breath coming in quick gulps, as she struggles to regain her composure.

And the Finch begins to sing

Piper moves away from the road and finds a spot to sit. A bus bench, a curb, a grassy spot near a tree- whatever is around.

the Finch tweets on her shoulder again. But it's not the usual bird call. Is that 'I'm in love with the shape of you'?

She sits and listens, gradually calming. “Siv… I know it’s you, Jonas is off somewhere on duty. I’m sorry. I… I’m afraid. I don’t have your Fiona bravery. This thing with Goldfinch? It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. It’s a place I can do good. Sylvi trusts me to help.” She wipes at her face. “I can’t mess this up.”

It switches to 'Fight Song' the litle bird showing how to be fierce, and Piper can be too

And then, suddenly, Siv is near her having found a safe moment to change "It's okay to be afraid. It is. But you're not alone and I hope that helps" She twines fingers

A shaky breath. “I know.” She squeezes the hand. “I’m trying. There are some things… I can’t do. Maybe someday I'll be stronger.”

"One step at a time then.. but in the mean time, you think of how wonderful it is that Goldfinch is in htis world again. You made that possible, me 'not so strong' love. You work miracles you don't even see. I do."

“Thanks, Siv. I’m sorry. Sometimes things are just too much at once. You’re my anchor.”

"Sometimes your anchor is a bit unhingged herself, and I'm sorry if I made it sound like you had to do this and that and go go go... this is a lot to get used to and I shouldn't push"

“Thank you for understanding though. Even if you had to chase me down to do it.” A somewhat sheepish laugh.

"You're worth the chase" Siv smiles "Always"

"Now, what'ts up with Zane?" Curious "He's working at Darkgate now ? "

“Honestly I’m a bit clueless. He said something about how he found a way to help, but- I guess it’s wizard stuff.” A grin. “if it helps him chase his passion, and keeps him out of that weird funk, I’m all about it.”

"I'm going to miss him" Siv admits "I mean, I am sure he'll visit, but your cuz has been a constant."

“There’s a trod that heads to Dark Gate. I’ve never been up there. Maybe we can go visit? I feel bad if Colton really meant it when he said they had no musicians. And Zane doesn't count.” Smiling.

"Ha. Harsh, but ha" A smile "Hey they've got actors, at least nearby."

“Right, I forgot about that play Sylvi was working on.”

She looks at Siv suddenly and gives her hand a squeeze.

“Just thinking… it would really suck if you or Jonas got pulled away to another hold by oath or duty. I like handing you both here.”

She squeezes back "I don't..."A blush at something "First time I was offered another home besides the lodge I wimped out"
