The question unasked, but it is more than a race, it's WAR! Sort of... colorful sprays of washable paint cascade from one zepplin or blimp to the other even as they fly to their target

Alas, 'friendly fire' means folks are getting soem spill over... a blop hits Otem making his head cherry pink

Jess picks up a plate and holds it (food-side up) over her head.

WISE choice, as she was almost painted lime green

Otem will say with almost troll like dead pan nature "Am I allowed to attack back?"

"It's not really an attack as much as collateral fun." also dead pan.

"Ah, well, then I shall endure" Somber nod as cherry pink drips down his ear

"Good man." Jess risks a quick glance skyward.

Looks like if she's not careful could end up blue

The splatter, and the race above, is moving further on... a lot of folks are finding playful color, some are laughing

If it looks all clear, Jess will set the plate down and check her cup before drinking from it.

FOrtunately the liquid IN the cup is safe, but she'll want to use a napkin to hold it

She can do that. Also, might be a new glass.

The ballooon races are a hit.

And fortunately a lot of misses

By the time the celebrations of Pennons are winding down, it is getting dark, and there maybe some parties after, but the obligation on Jessica is over.

She will slip away to her room after making a final round.

Nancy waves to her "It went great! I'll handle the party crowd"

"Thanks!" she waves back.

And with that, triumphant, Jessica gets to her room and...some time to bask and relax

Maybe a nice hot shower.

Her time to use, and yeah, sounds nice.
