After sampling over a dozen different dishes, it is up to each judge to pick their top three favorites in order and compare notes with each other after to see if there is a clear winner

Some of the dishes were of native origins; is it known if any of the contestants were?

Oh yes, more than a few, an improvement since last year. Who did which dishes has been kept secret to prevent bias

Jess does tend to bias towards the native dishes.

And the snake, to everyone's surprise, ,WINS, just by a notch!

Despite her biases, Jess is scrupulously honest about toting up the votes and naming first, second, and third places.

And there are cheers, the Nunehni are proud, but 'gracious victors', and truth to tell, everyhone has sampled so many various foods everyone has learned something about someone else's culinary culture

.... and are also suitably, pleasantly, full and satiated.

QUITE... in a few hours the lines to the bathrooms will be huge

...But until then...

Fortunately, she'll have time , until then, to relax, for music flows in contests and enjoyment.

Old songs, new songs, just instrumental ... she's nolt the judge of this so she gets to just be part of the audiance

And so she enjoys the performances.... although never relaxing -entirely-. That's not what she is paid for.
