It has been days since Coy went off... Constance has grown more somber, throwing herself into her work.

Jess keeps track of the time passing privately, of course; she sent them, it is her responsibility.

Constance sighs.

Jess -happens- to be having tea in the library. "Mm?" she looks up from her paperwork.

"I apologize. I am.. letting my mind be distracted from my work. When my work was supposed to be the distraction as well as my duty."

"No apology necessary."

"He forgot to take lunch" She says, sourly.

"My cooking isn't great, but he should take lunch"

"I'm pretty sure they all drew food rations from Diego."

"He better" A hurumph, "Sorry"

"No apology necessary." she repeats gently.

She tries to focus on her work "Town Council notes if you like them?"

"Sure, pass 'em over." she offers to take them.

She hands them over, "Some excellent ideas abounding."

"That's great." Jess scans for those ideas.

Mmm new patrol routes suggested, more care crews for senior citizens and single mothers. Just to name two

"Constance...." Jessica muses.

"Yes?"

"On the whole, County-wide and by Barony... we're stretched kind of thin, yes? What with wars and such."

"More than a bit" She admits "But wee've been thinner"

"What about......wait, when?"

"I think when the Swarm was on it as well"

"Oh. Yeah, that was... yeah."

"Ok, um... what about Kinain? I mean... could we involve them, help spread some of the load?"

She ponders "I think so yes. More than a few want to be a part of our world"

"I mean... we'd have to be careful. They're mortal and deserve the Right of Ignorance."

"Still, maybe with a sponsor's approval?"
