She tracks down the ladies in the kitchen, and then Diego "Hi."

"Hola, Jessica. How are you?"

"Um, good. Listen, Maria and Rosa said there's.... there's a problem with coffee?"

Diego says "Yes, it's vanishing. Everytime we order new supplies it goes missing. No idea why"

She blinks at him. "Um. I don't mean to .... um, tell you how to do your job but... I mean, we have guards, right? People who could... you know, watch the deliveries and make sure they get here?"

"Well, I don't get to order the thanes." he reminds

Jessica makes a gesture "You can let me know you need them." she points out.

"Welll..." A sheepish look "I suppose it wouldn't hurt"

"But it's confusing on HOW it is happening. "

"Well, someone's taking it." Jessica says logically "By Arts or force or subterfuge or tricks."

"Yes... but witnesses report being gone only for a half hour , returning and finding it gone. No one kenned any glamour but I suppose a cantrip could be involved"

"Think Mitra would be willing to help us with Chronos?"

"I think you should ask her, I hope she'll say yes, have you considered moving the coffee with -no- unguarded moments? Like.... put guards on it and keep them there till it's in Rosa and Maria's hands?"

"It would hurt our street patrols and our people might not get help outside as much" he reminds

"By how much?"

"Well, a half squad at least?"

"How often?"

"I suppose it depends on if there's an attempt again . If we're lucky enough to catch whoever on the first try with the guards, then not often. If somehow it slips, it could reduce our strength for days"

"Diego, I'm sure there's a lot I don't know or don't understand, but how hard is it to get coffee to the freehold?" A bit exasperated "Or find out who's taking it?"

"Getting it here isn't the problem , finding out? Well, I'm no detective" He humphs

"Getting the coffee into the Freehold is not the problem?"

"It seems as soon as we get it ordered and brought in, it vanishes. From the kitchens, from the pantry, from the storage"

"It's vanishing from -inside- the freehold???"

"Si, it's loco" he says "I'm ready to yank my horns out. Everyone is blaming me"

"Ok, this is an obvious question and I don't mean to jump at the obvious but... is there a pooka you've really ticked off recently?"

"I haven't had sex with a pooka in months" He explains

As if that answers that

Jess flushes "That's your answer??"

"Well, in the past, breaking hearts and moving on wasn't always received well by non satyrs. They're FUNNY that way" He gives a hapless 'whatchagonnado?' gesture.

"Have any -other- supplies been going missing?"

"Just coffee , liquid and beans"

"Ok, you see if Mitra will help find it, I'll try to figure out who's taking it."

"On it" He assures
