"It's what they love to do" She admits "Though from what I'm hearing, we might be able to stop this swarm somehow before it starts, or 'the chosen one can'. "

"I do have another suggestion" She adds "We might be able to put up some wards ala sovereign at key locations."

"Key it to Chimera specifically?"

Jess nods. "I don't know the Art, of course, but ... that would help."

"I'll get to work casting as you direct" She says "Might as well use tyranical power for good. I admit, I really AM ccurious about the origin of these things. The source."

"I kind of hate to do this but.... can you talk with Tweak? We should probably protect Skyhhook."

"You hate it? tweak will really hate it. Relying on 'elf magic'" A wink "I can put up with her grousing, and she'll see trhat if it helps her daughter then even SHE might swallow her pride. "

"I think she will. I mean, I hate to ask you to talk with her. She can be.... a lot. But she's talented and very good at what she does."

"Did you two have some sort of falling out?" A bit worried now

"Not that I know of, but sometimes it can be hard to tell."

"Her husband was injured" Otem reminds "That is enough to have her full focus"

Mitra nods at that "THat would explain it. Fortunately, Necropsis is as tough as he is obnoxious"

"Agreed." to both comments.

"Then he is very tough indeed" Otem says deadpan

Mitra smiles at that, "Otem, you have a sense of humor"

"Nothing anyone can prove" Otem asserts straight faced, he looks to Jessica "We'll keep looking for news of this Swarm in our lore. It sounds new, but perhaps it is still linked to something old"

Jess nods. "Swarms of destroying insects are Biblical... and the idea of a Chosen One certainly is, but usually they're on opposite sides."

"Now THAT is true, and intriguing" Mitra considers "That narrows down source lore. The chosen one the monster consider one of them, who sides with the people instead of the monster. I may have to check with some House sisters. They'd eat this mystery up"

"Do you think they'd help?"

"It might take some finagling, but they'd be intrigued enough I might get them to help" She says "We Eiluned are rather curious."

"Should I make a few phone calls after I talk to Tweak?"

"If.... I mean, I trust your judgement, of course, Mitra."

"Thank you, Jessica. " She inclines her head "What should I do if they want to bargain for their help? "

"I trust your judgement." she reiterates.

She nods "I'll get on both of those right away then." She pats her friend's arm "Jessica, when is the last time you got some sleep or food? You don't want to lose your edge"

"Um....." she thinks... and can't remember. "I guess I'm overdue."

She nods "Get some food and sleep and assign someone you trust to wake you if anythign new coemes up, would be my suggestion"

"I can watch over things from here if you allow" Otem nods

"Thanks, Otem... and Mitra, yeah. Thanks." It's catching up to her now. "Yeah, I guess so."

Mitra says "Thank you, Otem. " And she guides her liege to the kitchen "I knw you. You'd rather eat in private with a small table than at a big banquet hall. Food, and rest"

"I can just grab something quick...." she mumbles.

"If you like" Mitra says. The boggans protest, but they make her a quick meal insteaed of a big one, and it satisfies the troll well.

Soon, she is asleep and feels the Balefire watching over her
