As the visitor is from Rivervale, Jessica meets them herself.

The boy bows. She may remember Squire Brogan from her visits to Rivervale in the past. the Sidhe is sworn to Dame Kerri, or at least sees himself so. He's learned a lot

"Your excellency. I hope I'm not a burden at this time? The Hearth thought I should ... ah, get a bit of R and R. And... well, be a childling for a bit"

"You are most welcome, Squire. It's good to see you. No burden at all."

"I'll introduce you to the childling court here; Countess Ellie will welcome you as well."

"I have met them once before, and Holger, " He catches himself "Pardon, SIR holger now, comes often enough to Rivervale that he has been a friend. We are often stoic together" The boy says somberly

He also holds up a bag "I also brought these for you. The Hearth says you like them" Within, are some of Jessica's favorite snacks

"I thank you, and please tell Kerri thank you for me when you see her."

"I'll write a note."

"As you like, I will be honored to both tell her you said thank you, and pass the note. Oh, and, congratulations on becoming an Aunt?"

"Thank you."

And then, she sees Demos race past towards the door with weapons in hands

"Squire, seek the childling court right now please, anyoneinthehallscandirectyou....." her speech hastens as she is turning and running after Demos.

"Yes, Countess" He bows 'Happy hunting" an obedient childling who doesn't insist on joining? Gads.

Jessica has long legs and is a trained runner, she is soon outside and catching up with Demos!

"What?" she doesn't waste breath.

"Trouble" Demos answers "Fight"

Apparently not a guy of many words either.

She doesn't ask further, but goes with him.

They turn corners, and Jessica sees why Demos just broke into a run. His brother, Phobos, is in a fight with a nasty looking ... geez, what the frick is that chimera?

Phobos hacks and snaps , but has a nasty wound himself. And he looks... sickly?

"Venomous, hermano" Phobos warns them

"Demos, call for back up....." as she moves around behind the thing.

Demos doesn't listen, leaping forward to bite at it. He is the more unseelie of the two, and deserting his brother isn't in him

One g ood thing is, his bite at the thing distracts it, allowing Jessica a chance to get behind. There's a tail to worry about but still

Jess doesn't exactly see this, as she's in motion, and attacks from a flank.

Jessica strikes and strikes hard, there is a cracking sound and it squeels! Its tail lashes at her

A slight groove in Jessica's flesh threatens, but not enough purchase to get venom in

Jess swings her maul, targeting the stinger in the tail.

She smashes the stinger, breaking it, if not all the tail , but then.. Phobos lurches forward, and tears at another stinger on the shoulder, and gouges it. His brother helps, as Demos and Phobos use team work to hinder it. The Chimerical Scorpion man screams, and... speaks?

"The Swarm is coming! All is death.. Bzzz... Bzzz!"

It stabs but misses Demos, scratching at the same time and tearing into the already woundeed Phobos

Jess is willing to disable and capture it, but not at the cost of her people. She aims for a 'kneecap' whatever that might look like.

That shatters, and while Jess might be willing to capture, the redcaps aren't, and tear it apart as it hits the ground from her blow

It breaks into glamour

She sighs, but doesn't mourn too much. Needs must. And there is Glamour to be collected.

And then Phobos falls over shivering

"The fucking poison!" Demos says "Boss, need to get him to the fountain"

"GO!"

Demos, this time, obeys without question , hauling his brother up and fireman carrying him back towards the Hold

All are well fed on glamour

Jess takes a moment to assess the situation and scene.

Jessica finds something interesting left behind. A scroll. It must have come loose in the fight

She'll scoop that up, along with whatever Glamour she can.

And full of glamour, and with a scroll, she is soon on her way back to the hold.
