Jess seeks out her friend Mitra to see if she can use Chronos to figure out what happened to Holger.

She finds Mitra talking with some knights

She turns and bows briefly "My liege"

Jess nods back, and nods to the knights. "Hi. Sorry to interupt."

"No worries" Mitra nods and looks to the knights "Excuse me a moment" Then she moved to join her liege

"Do you think you could use Chronos to see where Holger was.. or when he was?"

"Or is?"

"It's been pretty long, but there is a slim chance I can look back a full week, yes" She nods "It will cost me some dross to aid me"

"Take whatever you need." Jess encourages.

"ALso, I may need to visit Rivervale to do it. He was last seen there so to back track" she explains "it would help"

"Do you know the way? Do you want me to go with you?"

"I know the way, and I think I've got it" She assures "Unless you want to come along it's not needed"

She pauses 'Though I may need permission to do so, from one of their elders"

"Tell them I asked you be allowed to look." she says pragmatically.

A slightly amused look "Do I need a hall pass?"

"I don't think so."

"Anything else you want me to say to your Hearth or Mountain?" SHe offers more somberly

Jess thinks "Um. Not sure if Mom and Dad are home yet so... I guess just Hi? All my best, of course. And thanks."

"You're welcome" She nods "And I shall do so" She says "I'll go get some dross and then head out"

Jess nods her gratitude. "Thanks again."

For a moment Mitra pauses, "Jessica... if I am able to track him, do you want me to plunge straight after before I lose the trail?"

"Yes, I do... but don't." she sighs. "I feel like... getting 'caught' and dragged home would....cause resentment. I think he's after a damn puppy. I don't appreciate the strain on our time and resources to find him but I don't think hauling him back would help very much."

"He's not just after a puppy, Jessica. He's after something that makes him a better guardian. Whether WE see it that waY or not, he does. Have you ever known a troll that didn't seek ways to be a better protector?"

"Of course not."

"I think maybe when he gets back, we ...and it's your call, but we need to tell him questing without warning us first is very insensitive and appraoch it that way. Sayda has ...well, she's snuck out on me once too" Embarrassed

Jess nods. "I plan to talk to him."

"All right... I'll get going now on that dross and trip. And I'll try to keep you posted if I find anything" She says

"Thanks." somberly.

And off she goes

Jess runs down the list in her head; is there an avenue to find Holger she hasn't considered? Could the mainland Nunnehi have gotten him, or did he wander into Mer territory?

THe Nunnehi are said to have some of their own arts or 'medicine'. Twofeathers would know more, or Otem perhaps?

"What the hell...." she mutters, and goes to ask him/them.

Johny Two feathers is not of the local Nununehi, rather a Willows Tribe. But he's been useful in more ways than one

When he hears about it, he says "mmm not sure it will work but I could try something"

"What do you have in mind?"

"I know the boy so I might be able to do a world sight spell... peer at him in the next world. If nothing else, it should confirm he's alive?"

Jess nods, hopeful. "What do you need? How can I help?"
